FAQs

How long will it take to get my money ?

Florida averages about 90 days to process claims without issues. We are able to track the claim everyday until your check is mailed.

Now that I know about my money, why wouldn't I process the claim myself ?

There is a significant amount of work involved. Every asset must have proof, so if there are many claims available for one person, each asset will require adequate proof. One example would be: A company (holder) transferred the unclaimed assets of a bank account 12 years ago to the state.  To claim the assets,  the individual, or claimant, will be requested to provide proof documents of ownership or entitlement. People often think they can just go to the "bank" or "business" holder and talk to them to straighten it all out and get the money refunded, but they can not, even if they have copies of their statements. The reason is because the holder, the bank or business, has turned the money over to the state for protection of assets and the individual or claimant, must go through due process. through the state.  Many people have tried to claim assets but since they could not adequately prove ownership or even entitlement, their claim closed without payout.  We have received numerous calls from people requesting our help for this reason. No one can guarantee a claim will be paid out, but we know what the State requires and we have experts in every phase of the claim process. Our expertise provides a very high rate of successful return to asset owners (over 98%), we ease and expedite the process, and our service is time and cost effective. If we are unsuccessful in recovery, you lose nothing.  The unclaimed assets will remain in the state unclaimed property division for the rightful owner to process a new claim; and, you owe us nothing for trying.

How will I know what is happening with my claim?

Our case managers track your claim regularly and we will provide regular updates of your claim's status.

When will I pay your fee?

You don't! Once a claim is approved for payout by the state of Florida, the state will send you a check directly for the approved amount of recovered assets. The state will also send a check to Trace Asset Recovery in accordance to the agreed upon terms of the claimant and Trace Asset Recovery LLC representative.

How much work do I have to do?

You will need to sign appropriate documents we will prepare, including: Limited power of attorney and our contingency fee agreement. You will be asked to provide a copy of a picture ID and a copy of your SS card ( both are required by the State ) and provide documents of proof you have.  We will prepare your claimant package with application, cover letter and much other detailed information pertinent to your claim. As a Private Investigation Agency, we treat all information as confidential. Any violation would put our license in jeopardy.

What is my risk in letting Trace Asset Recovery LLC process my claim ?

If Trace Asset Recovery LLC is unable to recover your money, you owe us nothing. All expenses are our responsibility. You don't provide a Credit Card or a deposit of any kind. You have nothing to lose and much to gain.
